Best Start

The goal of Best Start is to ensure that children in Ontario are ready to learn by the time they start Grade One.

Best Start offers quality early learning and child care on alternate days to Kindergarten. Our program is licensed for children from 3.6 to 5 years and follows the school calendar.

Early Childhood Educators and Kindergarten teachers work together to better prepare four and five-year-old children for success in Grade One.

For the convenience of working parents, a before and after school program is available.

Parents who work or attend school may be eligible for fee subsidy to help cover child care costs.Eligibility is determined through a simple application process.
